Genie’s Stainless Steel series of cameras are available in either a bullet or dome style with a fixed 3.6mm or varifocal 2.8-12mm lens. These cameras are made from 316 grade stainless steel, however what does this mean and why would you choose them?
There are 3 main types of stainless steel: Austenitic, Ferritic and Martensitic. Each one has varying factors that make them suitable for different applications in different environments. The Genie Stainless Steel range of cameras are made of austenitic type of stainless steel with a 316-grade alloy. This is a very common and frequently used type of stainless steel as it tends to have a high resistance to corrosion and rust as well as being non-magnetic.
Our range of Stainless Steel cameras are the ideal solution for someone looking to install a CCTV system where increased resistance is required. Examples include:
- Coastal applications where marine grade equipment is needed.
- Food processing plant where environments need to be hosed down regularly.
- Any tough environment which requires ruggedised equipment.
Available in either AHD or Network IP technologies, the range consists of 7 cameras in total:
